About the GPA

Immigration issues and policies directly affect the ability of companies to compete internationally and to create employment in the United States. Similarly, a host of international employment issues impact global personnel mobility.

The Global Personnel Alliance (GPA) is a forum for internationally active companies interested in global personnel mobility.

GPA was formed to provide companies with the opportunity to discuss best practices and common issues, and to seek resolution of shared problems.

GPA includes companies and business organizations in a wide range of industries.

GPA holds periodic informational conference calls and meetings to share information concerning international personnel issues and policies.

GPA also takes positions on certain issues of importance to its member companies. For example, GPA has testified before Congress on the importance of the L-1 intracompany transferee (L-1) visa to U.S. trade and investment.
